Online employee survey

Besides print employee surveys, ISPA consult also specialises in online employee surveys and offers its customers an innovative and well-proven online solution, which can be accessed easily and efficiently by all employees.

The participation in an online employee survey requires that every participant has access to a PC terminal or a laptop with internet connection and a web browser. In case some employees are not equipped with their own PCs, PC terminals can be set up which allow for the employees to log in to the survey with a password.

Customised questionnaire design
The ISPA standard questionnaire with 98 individual questions for 14 topics, for example, can serve as a basis, which then can be customised and further developed according to the client's wishes and requirements. Our survey portal allows for the development of a customised, individual questionnaire design. Besides closed questions regarding job satisfaction and other facets of the work environment (with individual focuses), we also offer other types of questions (open questions, semi-open questions, etc.). The questionnaire's development takes place during the planning phase and in constant cooperation with the client. Thereby, the layout of the online questionnaire is designed appropriate for the occasion.

Convenience and quality assurance
The online questionnaire is designed in a way that allows the user to pause the survey at any time and to continue answering the questions at the exact same point. Furthermore, a graphical progress indicator shows the participant how far the survey has progressed already.
In our survey portal, we equip the online questionnaire with an automated notice function, which advises the user of the necessity to answer mandatory questions in order to proceed with the survey and, if required, also detects empty fields. In addition, ISPA's plausibility check identifies and eliminates so-called "click-throughs" and thereby secures the quality and validity of the data.

Data security
The participants of the survey are provided with access to the online questionnaire either through a link and an access code or directly through a personalised link with an already integrated code, which is usually sent to the employees' e-mail addresses. All codes are alphanumeric (A-z (upper and lower case letters); 0-9) and automatically generated to ensure that each participant is granted individual access and only participates once. The data protection of all surveyed data is guaranteed by SSL encryption. A hybrid encryption protocol is used to guarantee a secure online exchange of the data between the browser and our server.

Pretests and reminder mailings
To ensure a smooth progress and, if need be, check the last technical difficulties, it is advisable to execute a pretest in the run-up to the online employee survey. For such a pretest, there are special access codes available, which give results that are not integrated into the evaluation results.
Upon agreement, we offer reminder mailings over the survey period, which remind the employees of participating in the online employee survey in order to increase the response rate. The higher the response rate, the higher the survey's value.
