Executing the employee survey

The execution of both print and online survey follows a detailed plan. The situation-dependent consulting of the client regarding the choice between print or online survey already has to be completed during the planning phase.

Regarding print surveys, the execution process of the employee survey concentrates on the following key tasks:

  • early (enough) announcement of the survey
  • printing and handing out of the questionnaires
  • completion of the questionnaires by the employees within the agreed time limit
  • return of the questionnaires

A detailed execution plan documents how and when which tasks are performed by whom. The proper allocation of target groups to the individual evaluation units, the choice between ballot boxes and direct shipment of the completed questionnaires as well as the ad hoc planning of targeted tracking in order to increase the response rate are critical for success.

Online-BefragungIn case of an online survey, one has to bear in mind the following characteristics:.

Online surveys require that the employees have access to an internet workplace.
For the online survey, ISPA consult prepares the questionnaire in HTML and Javascript with the particular company layout, sends the questionnaire links to e-mail accounts, hands out passwords or employee-specific links.
The completed questionnaire of the employee survey is SSL encoded and securely transferred to ISPA consult.

HybridbefragungenFor different target groups of a company, hybrid surveys (print and online survey) are an option.

Here, attention should be paid to increased costs, which, along with other reasons, could argue against a hybrid survey.

As a basic principle, complete censuses are to be preferred over a partial censuses.
