Feasibility and profitability as a knock-out criterion |
Relevance of the feasibility and profitabilityA feasibility study analyses to what extent and by what means the employee survey can be implemented. Without a positive feasibility study, the employee survey cannot be implemented, or at least not in the given scope. The subsequent profitability study is aimed at analysing whether the employee survey provides the client with economic benefit. Given a variety of types and natures of the employee survey, the question "Is the employee survey feasible and profitable?" certainly does not suffice. One rather has to ask: "What types of employee surveys are feasible under the given circumstances?" And further: "How can an employee survey be designed in the economically most benefiting way?". Feasibility study of an employee surveyBasically, each business and administration is suitable for employee surveys, irrespective of industry classification and size of enterprise.
Profitability study of the employee surveyFrom the client's perspective, the employee survey is profitable when the benefit of the survey exceeds the survey's costs. Because the benefit of the survey usually sets in later on, the costs constitute an investment. Its economic success can be ascertained at a later date, for example in terms of optimised processes and problem solving. Costs of an employee surveyThe costs of an employee survey are influenced by the number of surveyed employees, the number of evaluation units and by the quantity and form of the reports as well as other cost drivers. |
